Rebreather training

Most rebreathers are for technical diving with exotic gases and deep and decompression diving. No rocket science but needs to be learned before doing it. To use different gas mixes, to do proper dive planning ahead of the dive and to plan for all possibilities is part of what you need to learn before doing long and deep dives.

The Mk6 does not require all that. The pre-packed canister and the fully automatic operation does most of the job for you. But closed circuit diving is still different form diving with regulators. The buoyancy control is different, not harder but very different. The planning of dives is different simply because you can dive longer. And how to behave should your buddy dive on open circuit? There are many things to be learned, not difficult but rather a lot of fun.

Most agencies are in the process of developing courses for recreational closed circuit diving. Recreational defines as no deeper than 40 meters and no decompression. We have listed most of these down below. Check their website but first and foremost, ask your dealer. They will always have the most updated information about training. And they can help you find an Instructor....
